'Pathetic' - there's plenty of questions that are neither serious nor funny enough to warrant staying, but are just crude or otherwise totally pathetic - there's a lot of single entendres around, for a start. A 'pathetic' category would be great for questions that don't offend, are not abusive or whatever but could really do with being removed.

Agreed!  I think it's great to see some lightheartedness on the site, but the crude and pathetic questions are completely spoiling what the site is intended for.
yeah it could just be called the random category where we could ask any question which did not fit the criteria of the stated categorys.

It's been a very strange week really. In the time I've been here this has to be one of the quietest weeks for questions, and it's the school holidays. Some of the questions we have had do seem to be cruder and pointless.

I have to agree with Fakeplastic that a little light heartedness is nice to see. I even joined in with the one about your best joke, until I read back through some of them. There are some very crude and sick jokes. Strange how AB hasn't banned it.

FP, I agree, the crude & pathetic questions sometimes encourage crude & pathetic answers, therefore making the whole thread a waste of space.

Wraith, I agree that a minority of the jokes were crude & sick & should be removed (a long task for AB Ed though). However, the majority were hilarious, so I wouldn't like to see the whole thread disappear as it really cheered some of us up!

True smudge, there were many funny ones. I have to admit that I found some of the crude ones funny too, but some people seem to forget that this is a family site.

Wraith, yes this has always concerned me too. I couldn't believe my eyes today, when I read a very abusive reply from someone asking 'How do you tell if your pregnant?' under Parenting of all places!.

But how do you rate what one person rates as pathetic and another genuinely doesn't know the answer to. I recently posted a question on consumer rights and ended up with lots of posts asking if I was taking the mick or just plain stupid? Surely if I'd known the answer I wouldn't have posted????
