you need to first decide the venue, go around different places and ask for their wedding service leaflets and prices. If you are wanting to marry in Church you can do the same. Most weddings need at least 2 years planning depending on the venue availability.
What about marrying abroard, it can be half the price and then have a do back home later.
The key is lists, lots of them. If you go to a wedding fayre locally you will be blinded with the commerciality and so avoid them if you are on a budget.
Keep all aspects of the plan oin seperate A4 files, the venue, the guests list, the dress, the flowers, the transport, this means that you can collect lots of leaflets and details and make each file a selection process.
There really is no chance of rushing a marriage unless you go for the regsiter office.
