It has troubled me for a while that after a long period away, the 'Ethel' that appears now writes in a different way.
While mulling over this thread

it suddenly came to me.
The original Ethel said recently that she is profoundly deaf!

I have also noticed a distinct change in the characteristics of Ethel. Her language has changed and also she is not as prolific answerer as usual.
Also he medical history is interesting:
1) deafness....not uncommon in her age group.
2) Menieres Disease, not uncommon.
3) Myasthenia gravis....quite uncommon.
4) Migraine...common
Now one person to have 1)2)3) 4) is very bad luck or something is not quite right.

Despite being overweight all my life my blood pressure and cholesterol levels are excellent, so I will continue eating dripping and salt on my toast.
You may also appreciate knowing that I am currently very busy with another forum and the every day things that have to be done after being away from home for 6 weeks.
I've also got the builders in.
I'm definitely female.
