It has troubled me for a while that after a long period away, the 'Ethel' that appears now writes in a different way.

While mulling over this thread

http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/ChatterBank/Que stion744171.html

it suddenly came to me.
The original Ethel said recently that she is profoundly deaf!

Just to clear it up - I am very deaf inasmuch as I can't hear normal conversation.

I have very specialised and expensive headphones to listen to music and tv. If the music is new to me, I google the lyrics to get a better sense of the song.

:)
Then it sticks in your head all day...?
Buenchico...Harrowgate sorry how common....I am from the very (white according to the latest news?) city of York...
Buenchico. I'm from Cheshire and I understood every word :-) Schutz.

Thanks for clearing that up, Ethel.

Sorry I doubted you.

In answer to Anyway, two people can appear to have the same username.

Some of the trolls manage it by clever use of different characters on the keyboard, with marginal differences that are not obvious.
that's not the real Ethel , i know cos she hasn't pulled me up once abart me gramma since she got back from her hols.
Yes I remember when Ethel said she used headphones for the TV but said nothing about being profoundly deaf. She's got teeth though cos she muches through toast! don't you Eth??.
Panic Button....quite interesting.
I have also noticed a distinct change in the characteristics of Ethel. Her language has changed and also she is not as prolific answerer as usual.
Also he medical history is interesting:
1) deafness....not uncommon in her age group.
2) Menieres Disease, not uncommon.
3) Myasthenia gravis....quite uncommon.
4) Migraine...common

Now one person to have 1)2)3) 4) is very bad luck or something is not quite right.
If Ethel is a "he", then why did "he" post yesterday about wanting to wear a new pair of knickers every day of the year?
mrs_o.....YEAHHH strange.....LOL, but I didn't say he was a HE.
of if ethel is a he why did she go all girly over the corrie stripper to the point where she exchanged emails lol
Right sqad, you're the doctor on here.
Snap on a pair of your finest latex gloves, do your stuff and let us know once and for all what sex Ethel really is.
Dot...for Pete's sake....nobody is saying that she is a HE.
Squad, your interest in me is quite alarming.

You may be interested to know I take:

Betahistine for mnire's
Nifedipine for Reynaud's
Naratriptan for migraine
Mestinon for mysthenia
Carbamezapine for neuralgia
Furosemide to counteract the side effects of the nifedipine.
Ventolin for asthma.

Despite being overweight all my life my blood pressure and cholesterol levels are excellent, so I will continue eating dripping and salt on my toast.

You may also appreciate knowing that I am currently very busy with another forum and the every day things that have to be done after being away from home for 6 weeks.
I've also got the builders in.

I'm definitely female.
Ethel - rattled (pun) ;)
does everyone on AB know each other???

hmmm...I dunno wat u guys r talking about! xx
Logs Ethels meds in to her AB user database in case it ever comes in handy

I think you forgot your knicker size.
I've got the builders in - is that a euphemism????
