Looks like 2.0 is about to roll out very imminently and Legend has been the guinea pig.
Just for your information of course this is the message he receives when he attempts to log on............

The problem with IP banning is, as Whiffey says, what if I was using the computer in the library to post abuse. Would it be OK to ban everyone who uses the library?
The same as 5 people at one address using AB. Is it ok to ban 4 of them because 1 is a troll.
It's nothing to do with over posting Jack. That's why when Leggy overposts he could come back with another name that's been freed up from over posting. He could use loads of different names a day, some previously banned for over posting but they reappear again.
No friendlybob I asked him what message he had as it was difficult to explain to others without having the info in front of me.Glad to have being assistance in you losing your arse tho :)
No -he cant post at all -if he does get past the log on he is immediately zapped so therefore every IP he could possibly have -given that they are roaming-is banned.
Is this for real? A long time ago now i asked the ED why cant people be banned by an IP address... i got told off people of here its not done that way ... mmmmm the mind is fuddled on this one
I agree with ummm, I have said in the past IP banning is a good idea, but with so many people using internet cafes, workplaces and libraries, not to mention people having more than one computer at home, it could be problematic dishing out a general ban.
I suppose the benefit of moderating full time is that the arguements are nipped in the bud without having to ban large sections of people.
I still stick by what I say about Leggy. He's had no chance to defend himself, Zapped completely.
When some of us've asked for vile trolls to be removed, I had an email to say that unfortunately this couldn't be done - certainly not until AB2 started.
What happens????? I rest my case. This's all been dealt with in the wrong way.
