I came onto the sight about 11.30 using firefox and it's working really fast,. no delays at all. I haven't cleared any caches or changed browser or anything. It's been ok except on Sunday when the people unable to use Google weighed the site down.
I don't know why there is such a vast difference in how this site performs for various users. It is strange.

I am now coming round to thinking the site is much improved. I do find it slow at times but that is in common with other sites when traffic is heavy. I am using IE and as I always clear everything when I have finished I am not experiencing any problems now. The one thing I find better is when you have posted a question it is there immediately.
I, along with other AB'ers. would like to see the E-Mail back again telling you there is an answer.
It is also good to see that our esteemed Editor is around a lot more than he used to be.

Seems to me it's no more or less vulnerable to high levels of traffic than before. But one's answers are now posted with lightning speed. It is mighty churlish of me, obviously, but I am bound to say that speed should not have been achieved at the expense of the Preview facility. That is a necessity for anything but plain text.
Wow, Spare Ed! No complaints about the speed of that response! 'Eventually' is a bit of a straw, but I will clutch at it. Any chance of another one to clutch at re http://www.theanswerbank.co.uk/Answerbank-Suggestions/Question810815.html? Tho I suppose 'eventually' would be a bit optimistic for that. (Apols for being facetious about your name there.)
