Injustice of AnswerBank...............

Hi everybody, I have been a member of Answerbank for approximtley one year, I have asked a total of 16 questions and replied to about 15. My questions have ranged from Radio code for my renault megane radio, why my cat has started weeing by my front door, 924plc prog on my harddrive. I have answered questions on a few subjects answering to the best of my ability and being polite and courteuos at all times. My user name was "jasonbourne". this account has since been deactivated.

apperently and to the best of my knwledge another user named "im jason bourne" or "real jasonbourne" has been rude and abusive and subsequently banned.

I have tried to contact the editor of this board to look through all my postings and explain as to why my account has also been de-acctivated.

alas they will not reply to my emails or even acknowledge me.

I have since made another account and will be using that in future as i imagine that this one along with this post will soon be deleted!

I think the Ed is IP blocking so unless you share the same computer IP as the abusive "jasonbourne" then you shouldnt be rebanned..

That is unfortunate, i feel sorry for you as a user gets a tie to their name. A few idiots tho' can spoil it for a lot of others and i know a few idiots (not including yourself) have used that name (JB) to stir things etc.
Buzz is not to bad a name tho' lol.
If you see a thread by the ED try asking on that as the spare ED is usually hanging about, but they do not usually like to talk about bannings tho. Hope you can get it sorted as soon as and hope it does not spoil things to much for you

I wouldn't want that username back if it were mine,it will always be associated with the nasty threads of a week or two ago by the poster with a similar name. Best just to stick with the new one in my opinion.

so basically a troll could user anyones username, recreate it, be abusive and get banned which will also ban the original owner of the name as well then? surely not??!! wasnt the ed IP banning people?

Maybe the ed just banned any username that had 'jasonbourne' in it to be on the safe side.

Cazzz I would imagine that the ED/spareED probably came on to several JB’s and deleted all of them not realizing one was a genuine user

I have to agree that the Ed is a bit triggerhappy at the moment -looks like all that time we thought there was no moderation and people were able accuse others of being paedos and other revolting things they might have been looking in after all.Hence the Jason Bourne being banned although he was the recipent of the abuse -the user who used that as his tag line -not the perpetrator who probably still posts here today.

Dris there was a user recently who used variations of the name jasonbourne as his username,this is nothing to do with legend signing off with that tag a while back. The user concerned was a nasty piece of work.
