does anyone know why my question about parking in london has been removed from here - AND the travel section (wasn't sure where to post it so put it in both)?  Why does this happen?!

I am not sure but I gather you are not supposed to post a q in two sections; so it is possible that two different people reported each of your questions as "duplicates".  I suggest you re-post in Travel, once only.   I think you need to find an area of London where there is no residents only parking scheme in place, which also happens to be near a station with a good service into London. Sorry I don't know what place to suggest.
