Please will you go back to identifying new ABers in some way so that I won't be too scathing if they break the rules?

I would like it back. I assume that people are new if they are giving duff information and I dont recognise the name, but the colour was helpful and appropriate.

All newbies must bring cake as an introductory gesture.
After they've poked it through the bars of the cage, we could let 'em in.
