I have been doing this on my own threads quite often now and yet still no clue as to what it's for. I have just marked lankeelas answer on my thread in animals & nature but nothing happened. is this something you have on the now infamous 'to do' list ed?

I may be missing something, but the only other box is the SUBMIT box...

i wonder if they are saving tha avatars for the new year? I am so used to the jelly men I really can't imagine the page being busy with other pics.

I too tried it dot when we first went over to the new AB.
As __NOK__ so rightly says it's a "to do" thing.
Considering how long we have now been on new AB,and the increasing numbers of things "to do" that DON'T get done,I wouldn't bother with it.
It's annoying though,why offer something if it's not already working?
