Maybe the AB editors can answer this one. Why is there not a category for just General everyday questions. i.e. Questions that don't really fall under a specific title.

Several of us have already requested a "Miscellaneous" category for everything which doesn't obviously fall into one of the other categories.  Let's wait and see.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will take it into consideration.
the danger of that is that people may not bother to find a suitable category for their question and everything will get posted in it!
secretsquiz - I was about to post the same as you.
smudge and secretsquiz, aiye you have a good point there but wouldnt the lazy posters be doing themselves out of good answers, as people who are interested (maybe even specialise) in a certain subject may just frequent their chosen category ?.
It would be very useful.  Some questions have no obvious category to put them in.  (When was the Answerbank started? How big is it?  How many crew? How many passengers? How do the crew get paid where does the money come from?)  Others would fit into more than one.  (Which English monarch was born on Christmas Eve?).

In his idler moments,  :-),  AB Ed could re-allocate them to wherever the best answers would be given.  Those who had subscribed to the thread would still get their notifications.

Thanks, Marsh, that gave me the best laugh I've had in ages. "In his idler moments" indeed.... ;-)

Happy Christmas one and all!

I'm glad you liked it, AB Ed.  And a Merry Christmas to you too, and your elves, and to all Answerbankers everwhere.
