Does your local area have enough safe crossings for children outside schools? Safety around schools can be a big issue, as highlighted by http://twitter.com/kidscrossafely and http://twitter.com/Rosiecosy/ - do you think local authorities do enough in your area regarding safe crossing for children?

The local authority have done their bit, we have a 20 zone, flashing signs and a lolly pop lady - that doesn't stop @holes trying to run her over!
unfortunately I live in the axis of 4 schools, come 3pm you cannot move for lollipop people, speed humps and thousands of kids. its all very safe..
I would ask who's resposibility is it provide this safe crossing?

Should it not be the parents supervising thier children crossing the road?
One local school here has a lollipop lady, but another has no provision at all
