Some of you may have noticed the liittle RSS feed icons popping up over the site.
For example, just below this question there is a little red/orange icon next to where it says how many answers this question has. This icon lets you subscribe to the question and if you have a suitable RSS reader installed you will get live updates on this question (in firefox it defaults to being a live bookmark)
Now this is great, if you are interested in a question you can subscribe to it and get updates on it as and when they happen, even direct to your phone if you want.
Right.... now to the point of this (rare) question...
How happy are you all about the fact that anyone can also subscribe a RSS feed looking at you as a user and they will get sent live updates of any question you ask or answer you give direct to their computer or mobile phone!
stalkers paradise anyone?

Not really Chuck! But thanks for stirring! You can subscribe to other user's timelines, yes, but to what end?
You'll know when they've posted a question on a public forum under an assumed pseudonym!
You are still anonymous...I don't see how this changes that? You're not using your real name and there is no obligation to. You are anonymous.
Honestly I am not sure what the problem is?
We would like to do that in the future Umm, I think we'd need to get a status in first though!

PS. Thanks Chuck!

Ummm - not sure what I can say to that really! Ultimately it was information found on a public forum though, assumedly published by the information owner? Anyway, I am still how RSS would have helped them?
The feed is good for keeping up with things and as a way for you to see what someone else is upto when not on AB. For example, if you could have subscribed to josaphine32's profile during the Bob situation - I think plenty of us would have been happy to have seen the information as soon as Josaphnie had posted it? Here Profile: http://www.theanswerb.../members/josaphine32/

it's like ummmm says, yer actual stalker is one who puts information together a bit at a time the better to track down a target. This shouldn't be made any easier than is strictly necessary. I may have inadvertently revealed my address or my diet secrets somewhere and I'd like to think they were safely buried in the past. It's one thing to be on an open forum, it's another to make it too easy to search the archives.
