A possible scam????
11 Answers
This may or not be a scam ,but was a bit dubious.
My friend who was staying with me between house moves , tried to sell her time share to a re-sale company, paid her money up front and nothing happened , so the cash vanished.
She was not successful in getting it back from her c.card company because she had signed a contract for the deal
However I got a call today for her , from another company who say they are able to retrieve her cash, sounds good. But you need to be assessed first and then they will tell you how much it will be to do this.
The caller would not give his company name but proceeded to re-iterate the need for the assesment.
Sounds very strange to me , --so thought it worth just passing on.

The Internet is a great breeding ground for scams, but also a great place for protecting yourself from them. Simply search for what you're being offered and add the word "scams" on the end, e.g. timeshare resale scams
http://www.google.co....imeshare+resale+scams
The fact they won't give a company name may be a further indication that it's a scam, because another good search to do is
<companyname> scam
where <companyname> is the name of the company who is making the offer to you. Try it on the name of the company that originally scammed your friend and you'll realise that perhaps she may have been able to avoid being scammed in the first place.
