Live chat on Chatterbank

Has this always been a feature here or was this a normal Q&A site and then the Chatterbank added at a later date? What a great idea to have live chat on a Q&A site, this certainly sets this site apart from others I used to use.

We did have it. Then they took it away because there was so many naughty people. Then they had to bring it back because the naughty people invaded Body&Soul...

not really live. When chatterbank went away for a while didnt stop people chatting we just used to talk in B & S instead :-)

Ok, so this started out as a normal Q&A site and due to people talking away in other subjects the idea was born to have a separate talking area and then it was shut down and then reopened by popular demand?
