Deleting email contacts.

As you know when you enter an email address in the the . To..................section
if the address is already in your list of contacts, after the first letter , the PC displays all the addresses beginning with that letter, which is good but not if address has been deleted from the
contact list. I have deleted several addresses but they are still displayed every time I want to send an email beginning with the first letter . I have even tried removing all addressses but they are still displayed every time I want to send an email.
Any ideas how I can permanently remove addresses ?

Outlook, thunderbird, or is it web based email, if so which broswer?

A good first thing to try is when the list pops up use the down cursor key to highlight the one you want to remove and press the delete key.

I've now realised the problem only occurs when using Plus Net .which is the one I prefer and would therefore like to find the answer.

So presumably you are using the web based mail through your browser? if so you may not be able to clear an individual entry (if the press delete thing doesn't work) you will only be able to delete all remembered suggestions. how to do it varies by browser but you basically need to clear the form history.

Would deleting your browsing history help?

Form history is one of the parts of the browsing history, so clearing it all would work but it overkill.

Further to your questions . I'm using Windows Mail which was originally a part of Vista.
