Pension Rules

How about a section on Pension Questions? My employer tells me my Shift Pay Allowance cannot be factored into my pension when I retire. The Revenue rules say that it does not count if I have not been paid it in the last 13 years. I need to check this but how and where?

If you paid pension contributions on any income then it's pensionable. However if it's a final salary scheme and the shift allowance wasn't paid in the last 14 years then it won't be part of your final salary which will be based on your salary over the last two years or so
