I was recently in a hospital waiting room( waiting for my father) and i saw someone reading a book written by a school teacher/tutor about life in school, but i am unable to remember the title or the authors name. I think it was a recent book as it looked new

This is a series of books written by a Schools Inspector in - I think - the Dales. There are also the "Miss Read" books. They are a bit elderly now but still popular with some people. I'm sure other ABers will suggest some alternatives.
could it be?
"its your time youre waisting".frank chalk
i have just downloaded a free kindle app to my phone and purchased the book for £1.99.bargain!
Could have been one of the books written by Jack Sheffield about his life as a teacher then headteacher.
Try Gervase Phinn ,a Schools inspector in the Dales
Question Author
I have read the one by Frank Chalk. I think the author may have been a woman, if that is any help
