Crossword compiler software - advice
3 Answers
Hi everyone,
Having been an avid Listener crossword solver for some years now, and dabbled with clue writing, I would really like to attempt to write my own themed crossword, possibly for submission to the Magpie.
I have started looking at software to help me out with the grid-filling element of setting, as that is where I seem to be struggling most, and before committing lots of money to the cause, I was wondering if anyone had experience of using either Crossword Man's Sympathy package, or Crossword Compiler (from crossword-compiler.com); or any others? And if so, do you have any feedback or advice?
I have downloaded the trial version of Sympathy - can anyone tell me if there are additional grid templates I can get from somewhere?
Many thanks in advance
