What exactly does the Igbo word "gbo" mean in the novel Purple Hibiscus. I think it might mean "do you understand?" / "do you hear me?".

Hi Buenchico,

Thanks. I had found that page, but it doesn't explain the meaning of 'gbo' in this context. Next to the translatrion of 'gbo' it says, 'guessed', and the page is part of a school project I think.
