Nook E-Reader

How do you buy books for these? Someone has bought my mum one for Christmas and as she is not up with technology, it will probably fall to me to set it up and get some books on it for her.

I've had a look on the Barnes & Noble website but all the prices are in dollars, is this correct? Is there anywhere else she can buy them from?

I've got a Kindle so know where to get books for that but I'm stumped with a Nook!!
