Help Please; I Cant Remember The Name Of A Books Author/title And Want To Look For More Of Her Work

the story is set around a female sheriff in an amish town. she grew up amish but when a man attempted to rape her she shot and killed him. her father and brother got rid of the body and it was never talked of again. years later women in the town are being raped, tortured and murdered. the sheriff begins to wonder if the man she shot as a child was really dead or back preying on the towns women. she goes on to solve the murders with the help of an f.b.i agent who drinks to much and is barely holding onto his job.
i really enjoyed reading this and would love to read more of the authors work but am not having any luck. i hope the breif details will jog someones memory. thanks in advance.
