I've been trying to remember the name of a bookshop in Manchester city centre. It was on the way to Piccadilly Station. It was a political/feminist bookshop carrying pamphlets and papers as well as books. This was in the 1970s and 1980s,when I was at college, and it was between Oldham Street and the station approach. And is it still open.
Thanks in advance.

That area has changed a lot in recent years. I don't recall such a bookshop and looking at Google Streetview there doesn't appear to be any bookshops at all along that stretch.
Allen's?

Oddly, after asking the question here I gave it one more try and found the answer, even though I used the same words to ask the question that I had before. The shop was Grass Roots,it later changed its name to Frontline, and later still moved to Rusholme. It closed in 1999.
