Mapp And Lucia

I have just finished watching the recent "Mapp and Lucia" that the Beeb put on at Xmas. Someone was kind enough to buy me the DVD !

I enjoyed it again, even more the second time around. I am soon to finish the 6th book in the series and I was wondering if the Beeb were going to make any more episodes, as so much happens after Lucia departs with Georgie for Riseholme.

I have looked on the BBC site but can't find any mention of more episodes.

don't think there were any more. Have you seen the 80s series? I am just oming to the end of the 99p bargain and i feel mot sad!

I watched this with my daughter. I wan't sure about it at first, but she thought it was brilliant, so I stuck with it and ended up really enjoying it. Sorry, don't know whether it's going to be on again, though.

Apparently Steve Pemberton has confirmed that there will be no more episodes. What a pity !

In the books, Lucia marries Georgie and she becomes the Mayor of Tilling, with Map as her Lady Mayoress ! Think of the comic potential ?
