My cat Frankie dribbles when he is happy. This was merely a random thought by me and has no relevance to your question Tilly.

Just ordered on one click. Thanks all.
They had extracts from it in the Sunday Times mag. Don't know what it's like though. Put it to one side and haven't got around to reading it yet. Thanks for the reminder. ;-)
Doh, I thought you meant the original!
Question Author
I have read all of Bill Bryson's books. 'Notes from a Small island' started me off.

I love his observational humour.
Now !
Question Author
Not now, Mikey. Tomorrow.
I always dribble but contain ones fangs.
I've read most of his books. He's a really nice chap. When he lived up at Malham (Yorkshire Dales) his son used to come down to Keighley for athletics training - I was a coach - and Bill brought him and hung about in the draughty hut until the session ended and he could pick son up. He did spend some of the intermediate time scribbling.

When my younger daughter and I had a mad fling at the end of her gap year she persuaded me to fly to New York and drive up through New England and one day we called at his house for refreshments. Everyone was just the same. I'm very glad they're back in England although I know that Mrs. Bryson was not too happy to leave the U.S.A..

Definitely - what you see and read is what you get. One of the good guys.
Question Author
Thanks for that, Jourdain. I suspected that he was one of the 'good guys'.
Tomorrow.
Question Author
Yes, Pete. Thank you, too.
I've got my copy ordered and will be picking it up this morning. Looking forward to it . I LOVE all Bill Bryson's books and have them all in order, standing like little soldiers. I read them over and over and they still make me laugh.. Enjoy yours when you get it Tilly xx
