One would of thought that the cabin crew might have suspected potential trouble brewing( should I say fermenting) by the rate they were necked back in a comparative short time after take off.

Andy...because most people are sensible. I always have a few drinks before a flight. I'm scared of flying and it relaxes me a bit. I've never boarded a flight drunk or got drunk on a plane.

I don't actually know how people manage to get drunk on a plane. The airstewards are very busy.

Nobody gets that *** on that amount of wine. I was "spoiled" on my holiday flight the other week and must have drunk about a bottle of champagne. No way would I be drunk enough to behave like that. Most times, people have either been drinking in a lounge or bar beforehand, sneaked a few from their own duty free or they have a drink problem and only need a few because their liver is shot. At least she didn't pull the old "I only had a couple but I had taken a sleeping pill" one.

I took a sleeping once for a flight. I didn't even wake up for alcohol! I woke up for food though, ate and went back to sleep. A 13 hour flight and I was only awake for the last hour.
