this isn't anti semitism

Question Author

Perlease they agree to arrest the PM of Israel for defending his country!

the arrest warrant isn't for defending his country. have you read it?

Question Author

Yes it's for what the ICC deem war crimes + crimes against humanity. He has done neither. Everything that has hapenned has been because his country has been attacked. That is all at the door of Hamas. For it to be criminal it must be the intent, it is/was not.

"He has done neither."

there is in fact cause to believe that he might have done those things. that's why there is an arrest warrant - so that he can be given a trial.

the uk is a signatory to the rome statute and is thus obligated to carry it out. this is not anti semitism... or anything like it.

Theodor Meron is among the judges of the icc which supported the arrest warrant. he is a jew and a survivor of the holocaust.

In last night's ROB, the ground rent went up from £25 per annum to over £1000.

There was an appeal to the Ombudsman and they not only in favour of the leaseholder but increased the ground rent.

Question Author

To commit those crimes there has to be intent. No one is saying nor is there any evidence that that targets were civvies etc, they have all been legitimate targets. In war there is collateral damage.

^^^ probly a majority verdict?

sober up barry🤣

yes some people are saying he intentionally targeted civilians. the prosecutor at the ICC has laid out his reasons for that extensively. here is a letter published in the FT in support of the war crime allegations. it is written by a panel of international lawyers who reviewed the prosecutor's case. notice that Theodor Meron is among them

https://www.ft.com/content/aa2089c5-6388-437d-bf5c-9268f3a788ce

"For months, we have engaged in an extensive process of review and analysis. We have carefully examined each of the applications for arrest warrants, as well as underlying material produced by the prosecution team in support of the applications. This has included witness statements, expert evidence, official communications, videos and photographs. In our legal report published today, we unanimously agree that the prosecutor’s work was rigorous, fair and grounded in the law and the facts. And we unanimously agree that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the suspects he identifies have committed war crimes and crimes against humanity within the jurisdiction of the ICC."

from the letter above, signed by a survivor of the holocaust

Question Author

this is a lot of semantics. Are we now saying that the mere presence of civvies alone means that they are targetted by proxy? In WW3 both us and the Germans were bombing cities, they knew civilians would die, they were not considered war crimes.

no toratora. the allegation is deliberate starvation and purposeful targeting of civilians.

you may believe that he is not guilty of course but there is enough evidence to warrant a trial and that is why there is an arrest warrant for him. it is not anti semitic to enforce the law.

To commit those crimes there has to be intent

you mean that Benji marched into Cabinet and said "whoops we seen to have bombed a childrens hospital again"

and the Cabinet to a man stood up and said Prime mininister, mistakes do happen

righto !

Question Author

Those things should be examined more closely of course but I just don't think it's posible for him to get a fair trial.

well every stage of the trial is minutely reviewed by judges from numerous countries including his own. i think they have been extremely fair so far.

Bonkers!

In the unlikely event Netanyahu came to Britain and there was a Tory government, would they be obliged to exercise the arrest warrant? Would they then be anti-semitic?

When you have Karim Khan at the helm I am msure it is going to be totally unbiased.

Pixie hasnt a clue, never did have.
