Gordon Brown father again

This is an emotive subject so please understand that this is a genuine query. On TvVand radio they have announced that Gordon Bown will be soon a dad for the 'second' time. This is incorrect as his first child was born premature and cared for about 1-2 weeks before she died. It was very emotional time for the family and the government as the loss was felt by all close to him. So should it not be correctly stated that he will be a father for the 3rd time?. Surely the parents would like the memory of their first born kept alive even in public.

I agree with you, and its an omission that shouldn't have happened, it actually implies that young John is their first child, as if their daughter never existed. If it was me, i'd send them a copy of her birth certificate, then wait for a response.

I was also confused by that, and I can only assume that whoever wrote the story had forgotten about Jennifer.

i find it very sad that Jennifer seems to have been forgotten, i always say i am a mother of two, even though i only have one surviving child, my mum is the same, we are parents to these children even if they did not survive.
