Is anyone else a huge fan of Lee Child and his character Jack Reacher? Whats your favourite book of the series?

I have read them all to date ..can't say I have a favourite ..they are all a great read ....Tthe next one comes out in April.and I already have it on order at the library !!

this is thing about it. i have them all read and i cant choose a best one as i enjoy them all. I was only introduced to them by a fella on holiday in portugal last july. He gave me "One shot" to read and that was me hooked. I returned home and bought all of the books and just made my way thru them. i couldn't put them down and i'm looking forward to the next

Jimmy ..if you like Jack Reacher you will probably like James Lee Burkes character Dave Robicheaux ..similar sort of lone type but not in the sense of Reacher ...more of a maverick type who is a thorn in the side of bad justice . Set in and around New Orleans .Burke writes very descriptively about the deep south and I am sure you would soon be as hooked as I am.He has another series too featuring a lawyer Billy Bob Holland who sticks up for the underdog . Give them a try I am sure you will enjoy ..but as always start at the beginning of the series with The Neon Rain ..Happy reading !
His other novels are a good read too ..especially White Doves at Morning.

cheers shaney. i'll give him a try. i'm always on the lookout for good story lines. it hard to find a good book. i don't know if your like me an find it hard to adapt to a new character or new style of writing. i like the story lines of a good maverick who isn't all innocent but seeks justice in his own way. I like the storylines where you envy the main character an his lifestyle (hard to explain but i'm sure anyone would love to drift and be in a new place every few days) i'll try your reccomendation

I'm the same - read them all, no faves, but it's great to hear that a new JR is on the way.

Have any been filmed yet? Surely it's just a matter of time.

Andy.. ..Apparently ,One Shot is to be made into a film in 2007 by Paramount .A film based on Killing Floor is currently in development. Casting of the Jack Reacher character is currently unknown, causing much speculation!

His new book Bad Luck and Trouble which comes out on 7th April already has 40 reservations at my local library ! So he is very popular and hopefully they will order more copies or we will be in for a long wait !.
I do own some copies but these days on our fixed income books come lower down on our our list of essentials .Thank goodness for libraries.

Hello shaneystar. I have read all (I think) of Lee Child's novels. I get most of mine from charity shops - our local Oxfam has a very good books section. Most paperbacks are �1.99.
