As someone who ONLY reads non-fiction, I am just crackers about Salley Vincent. (Its a long story how i got into it). What can I possibly read now until her new one is out. Something in the same vein, not sloppy romance though. Suggestions please.

Hi bigsister,

I haven't read any of this authors books, so am unfamiliar with the themes that she writes about?

Have you read any books by Jodi Picoult? I have read a few of them and they are very good - not sloppy in the least.
Question Author
I told you I was desperate, i meant Salley Vickers, who wrote Miss Garnet's Angel, really good.
Thanks for your suggestion. I haven't read any of hers but I will go to the library next week.
Aren't people on this site just so nice.!
I hope that you enjoy them if you get them.

The author has a website - www.jodipicoult.com
Might be worth a look if you are interested?

The people on here are very nice indeed bigsister, and I reckon you're one of 'em ; )

Oh i loved Miss Garnets` Angel,what a great book,have you tried Deborah Moggach,Helen Dunmore,or Sarah Dunant(The Birth of Venus is fantastic).Happy reading!
Have a look at this website - you put in the name of the author you like and it brings up other names of authors you would probably like also. I found - for example that when I put Sarah Dunany in it brought up other authors I have already read & it seems faitrly accurate. Try it.

Good luck.

Kevin, Liverpool,
Just finished reading Salley Vickers' latest book...The Other Side of You. I read it in three nights and really enjoyed it. Hope you do too. Have you tried Hilary Mantel and Alice Hoffman? Try Blue Diary ( I think that's the name of the Alice Hoffman one that I enjoyed most.) Also try The American Boy by Andrew Taylor. Everyone who I have recommended this to has enjoyed it. If you don't like historical novels though, it may not be for you.
