If the mend is invisible, what is the point of having it done in the first place, surely it would look the same as before it was mended!!
I once worked in a dry cleaners where people often asked for invisible mending on their damaged cloths. It is in fact a very expensive process. For instance if you have a tear in a jacket then a peice of the material from inside where it can't be seen is re-woven into the damaged area. It is not a patch, the warp and the weft are actuall woven as it was made. It is a very time consuming job. So therefore when done it is invisible.
I went to the Army & Navy store, I said to the man, "Where are the camouflage jackets?". He said, "They're good, aren't they?"

It is not a patch on the normal way of mending things.
