I'm just about to go to bed and start Stephen King's "Lisey's Story". How do you pronounce Lisey please? I know I'll only ever hear it in my head, but it's going to bug me not knowing! lol

Hi Dak! I'm good thanks, how are you? :O)

PS: that didn't really answer my question, thanks very much you cheeky mare! lol
Question Author
Just in case it's really obvious to everyone but me (which is possible!), is it pronounced Lisey as "Lee zee" or as "lie - zee"?
LOL, sorry I couldn't resist. For what it's worth, I don't actually know but I'd pronounce it with the 'I' said like you would say 'Lick' and the end prounounced 'Say'. Does that make sense?? LOL.

I'm doing good, thanks, plodding along :)
Oh....I'd have said: Lee see........no matter.
Question Author
Right...lol

I was leaning towards "Lee see", but now I'm confuzzled again...
Question Author
Anybody's got Stephen King's phone number please?
It`s pronounced Li-see
Oh, I never thought of lee see. Don'y worry about it, Max, just call her what you think sounds right in your head. It wasn't until book 4 of Harry Potter that I knew how to pronounce Hermione! LOL
hi max...you're a Stephen King fan? Just quickly..do you think his work is not as good as nowadays?
Elvis, is that like an Austrialian saying Lacey??
doh! I mean Nowadays as it used to be?
No Dak, more a Geordie version
Hmmm!!...
Question Author
You're right Dak, I'll just go with the flow (and ask my mate tomorrow! lol)

Not sure Linda, I've read a lot of his books, but never in order so I couldn't tell you if the more recent ones are getting bad...
I know I read Isolation and The Regulators recently and they were awful, badly written and crap plot. Love the "classics" though, like Misery or The green Mile, or the Shining.
Question Author
Why couldn't he call her Mary or something huh! Grrr...
Might not've helped. An Irish friend of mine always refers to our mutual friend Mary, as "Marry"!!!!! There's no hope!
Question Author
Actually, I think he should have called her Max. :O) lol
The early ones are soo much better Max. The Shining was absolutely terrifying to read..I never could understand why they dumbed it down for the film, and added a comic element:-(
I've always wanted to read The Shining! Is it really bad??

I watched One Flew Over the Cukoo's Nest again the other night. I've added the book to my wish list to see how different the 2 stories are. I know it's not a SK novel, I was thinking about Jack (yummy when younger) Nicholson!
