Waiting for the phone to ring
46 Answers
I have been trying to keep myself from crying this morning but the more I try .....I thought it was going to be easier this year . My dear sister passed away on this date St Patricks Day and I do miss her so much . I still expect my phone to ring with her voice on the other end.
I can't get to her grave with flowers as I have no transport .I can't stop my heart from feeling so heavy this morning .

Sad that you cant get to her grave due to lack of transport. Get some beautiful flowers in her memory and put them in a vase in your lounge, that way every time you look at them, you will think of her.

I think the act of remembering is enough for those that we have lost, you are honouring her memory and your relationship by doing that - transport - schmansport. Get a picture you love of her - have a good blub, wallow a moment or two ... then do something that your sister would have enjoyed, whether that would be a tea and cake- a wee tipple - what ever a wee indulgenece was! Lots of love and cuddles Sense. X.
Oh,mamma...you poor soul. Significant dates like this are bad enough, but when they tie in with holidays or any other date that is of similar importance.....then the memories never get a chance to settle. I don't know how long it has been....but it WILL get easier. Trouble is,it can rise up out of no-where like a slap in the face. Just let your sadness out, sweetheart, talk to her and try to bring up the good memories. Do as the others have said, and get some flowers...having them in your house may allow you to feel that you are sharing them with your sister And remember-we are all here to help....much love to you xxxx
Pulling myself together and am definately going to get some flowers to share with her in my house . my dogs wondering what's wrong bless her , I am feeling much better now I've had a good bawl and have read all your wonderful kind words. Thank you redcrx , jules , Bathsheba , sense4all , daffidazey , pasta , funnygirl , and miss chatty , you are all very special :-) xxxxxx
bigmamma,
I know just how you are feeling today.
Why not take a few quiet moments to have a chat with her.
You were obviously very close, as I am with my Sister and no matter what, I always think they are around you.
I don't think she would want you to feel like this, so go round the house, talk to her and laugh as you would have done if she were still here.
