I have been trying to keep myself from crying this morning but the more I try .....I thought it was going to be easier this year . My dear sister passed away on this date St Patricks Day and I do miss her so much . I still expect my phone to ring with her voice on the other end.
I can't get to her grave with flowers as I have no transport .I can't stop my heart from feeling so heavy this morning .

awww mamma,

have a good cry hun, bottling it up inside will make you ache even more and isnt good for you.

as for the flowers, they dont need to be on her grave hun, put some in your house for her, she'll see them there xxx
oh bigmamma, i know how you feel, just have a cry, its not going to hurt is it, so let it go. i would, and do when its my dads anniversary and thats 22 years now.
Sad that you cant get to her grave due to lack of transport. Get some beautiful flowers in her memory and put them in a vase in your lounge, that way every time you look at them, you will think of her.

Aww , redcrx honey , the flowers in my house ....what a wonderful idea , I can't stop crying , my other sister , down in Cornwall has just rung and we were blubbering too much to make any sense . xxxx
Ah mamma! Your sister knows you're thinking of her, cos she's with you always! Put some flowers next to her photo, or better still, a house plant that's always alive + green.Thinking of you, Bath xx

She told me she would come back to visit as a ladybird , and to think of her when I saw one , I often smile when I see a lone one near me .I have a pot ladybird that sits on my comp desk .
bigmamma, my mum belongs to the local spiritualist church and on our rellevant family anniversaries, she takes some flowers in and they go on the podium, and she mentions who they are for, the name , who they were and how mnay years its been.

I think the act of remembering is enough for those that we have lost, you are honouring her memory and your relationship by doing that - transport - schmansport. Get a picture you love of her - have a good blub, wallow a moment or two ... then do something that your sister would have enjoyed, whether that would be a tea and cake- a wee tipple - what ever a wee indulgenece was! Lots of love and cuddles Sense. X.
I can't add anymore than the sentiments already posted, bigmamma. But I just wanted to send you a HHHUUUUGGGEEE hug! Daffi x
Oh,mamma...you poor soul. Significant dates like this are bad enough, but when they tie in with holidays or any other date that is of similar importance.....then the memories never get a chance to settle. I don't know how long it has been....but it WILL get easier. Trouble is,it can rise up out of no-where like a slap in the face. Just let your sadness out, sweetheart, talk to her and try to bring up the good memories. Do as the others have said, and get some flowers...having them in your house may allow you to feel that you are sharing them with your sister And remember-we are all here to help....much love to you xxxx
Mamma, you're are not alone.

I went through this at the beginning of the month on the anniversary of my Mum's death.

I can only say, have a cry and remember her and the good times you had.
Everyone before me has said it all... Thinking of you Mamma... Big Hugssss ((((((xxxxx))))))

Thank you christine hun xxxxx
I am going to do your well deserved stars now I have my head back on ;-)
bigmamma,
I know just how you are feeling today.
Why not take a few quiet moments to have a chat with her.
You were obviously very close, as I am with my Sister and no matter what, I always think they are around you.
I don't think she would want you to feel like this, so go round the house, talk to her and laugh as you would have done if she were still here.
xxxx
Morning mamma, glad your feeling a little better than when you posted this. Same as everyone else I can't add anything, but I am thinking of you and sending you a big cyber hug <<<<hugs>>>> All the best.
