Title and author required

I have asked for the title and author of a book I read some 45 years ago but, not surprisingly, no one has been able to help. Does anyone know of any other site or method I can use to get this information?

abebooks have a decent search, but only for books on their records. There was another but lost it now as drive got wiped last year (grr)
