beano first edition

i have a copy of the first edition of the beano and just wondering if anyone knows how much it would be worth?or where is the best place for me to find out

I think, I think there was a free insert,
and the big q is whether you also have the shooppee cushion

Put it up for auction - and expect in excess of �2 000.

Try first book auctions - Bonham, Bloomsbury and Dominic WInter.

well,
it didnt actually come with a whoopi cushion but did come with a mask and a phone card, which i have.
obviously the phone card has expired
but if i am correct i have a proper folder with it too

im a little excited now

Did they have phonecards in the Beano when it was first published in 1938 ?
A copy of the first issue published 30 July 1938,sold for �12,100 a couple of years ago .There are only 12 known copies of the first issue in existence.I very much doubt if yours is a first issue ....not with a phonecard !

im up in the loft tomorrow to check it all out,i can remember the mask,but i know there is a phone card too,maybe its off another beano,,but yes its definatley the first comic as it was passed ono me from my dad,ill post another comment on here tomorrow
