Humph the Escalator
0 Answers
Please does anyone know the words of the poem which begins as follows?
Humph the Escalator slid/Out of the Basement/Yes he did./Out of the Basement unawares/Flattened a moment, then made stairs . . .
I think it was originally in Collin's Magazine (which later became Young Elizabethan) and was possibly written in Canada.
