Hi fasttimes, I don't believe there is a contemporary translation. The newest of the old ones is called The Long Ships and it's available at Amazon.com

The author's name is Frans G. Bengtsson. I read somewhere on the internet that the translator took great liberties and cut out a very funny part for no good reason :-(

I should add I'm not one hundred percent sure if The Long Ships is the whole story or just part one - it's a bit confusing, I called the National Library here in Stockholm and even they weren't sure.

I can confirm the author and English title Swedeheart gives. If your Swedish is no good, then how's your German? A huge number of German translations are available from abebooks.
