I'm going crazy trying to remember more about this book. I read this about 8 years ago. It's about Virtual Reality Programming from inside the VR world, and VR Police looking for a killer. Please help me with the author and title I'd love to read it again.
The Piers Anthony novel Killobyte follows the story of a paralyzed cop trapped in a virtual reality game by a hacker, whom he must stop to save a fellow trapped player with diabetes slowly succumbing to insulin shock. This novel toys with the idea of both the potential positive therapeutic uses, such as allowing the paralysed to experience the illusion of movement while stimulating unused muscles, as well as virtual realities' dangers.
Actually after some exhaustive searching, I found the answer myself but was too tired to remove the question... it was by Tom Clancy and is part of the Net Force Series.. but thank you for your information, I will look into that book as well.
