out of print books

Hi I have been desperatly searching for 2 books for months & can't find them anywhere,tried reader search but they wanted about �50 for each of them (ha) been trying E-Bay but nothing yet. They are called "When Harlie was one" and "And to my nephew Albert I leave the island what I won off Fatty Hagan in a poker game" please help I love them both. this is why I never lend anyone my books anymore. thanks

If you Google for "book search" you come up with a lot of these sites but I expect that most of them are American.

 

Can you give us the authors' names of the books you are looking for?

I've just checked and Amazon UK have got both of them, and they're cheap too!

Oops, actually, the second one is �21, but the first one you can get for �1.56!

In my experience the absolute best place for books you can't get anywhere else is powells.com - it's the website of a New York book shop. I've got stuff there that's been out of print for years. They ship quite cheaply too. If they don't have what you're looking for you can register your request and they'll notify you as soon as they get a copy in. Hope you find it.
