Quality Street and Roses- how they used to be?
9 Answers
I think back to my childhood days (Hang on, I am still under 30) when Roses and Mcintosh's Quality Street used to be something special that you used to look forward to at christmas but nowadays you can buy them all year round and supermarkets like Tesco sell the large tins for a fiver.
I have noticed that the chocolates are crap now, whereas in the 80s they were much nicer! Or is this a touch of nostalgia? Have they always been the same chocolates?
I dont know. Perhaps I used to get excited about Roses because it was chocolate and I was a kid and loved the wrappers!
Ive recently tried both brands and the chocolates taste kinda cheap. Was it always like this?

Any suggestions for an alternative ?
