Name of book about bi-polar university student

A few years ago, I remember reading a book, about a boy in University who had bi-polar, but we didn't find out this until nearer the end. He would sometimes be full of energy all the time, and go for runs at nighttime, whilst other days, he would be depressed and stay in bed for days on end. Anyone know what this book is called and the author? Thanks.
