I too looked on Wiki, and tried to research other sites to no avail. So, ShaneyStar2 Thanxxx So Much for the Fantastic Fiction site and your info. Nice to know others are out there who know of Miss Read, and yep, I'm thinking 97 pretty soon (April!) : )

Hi! Its great to see fellow fans of this wonderful womans work. I was hooked after reading Time Remembered, which is written about Chelsfield where I live! I have walked the route she took from leaving Chelsfield Station, up the path (now a bridal path) to Julian Brimstone Farm (now Chelsfield Riding Centre) and to her school, Chelsfield which I also attended. The way she describes my local village and surrounding areas as it was 90years ago is quite beautiful. I wish her a long and happy remainder of her life!
