An interest in finding out more about Greek Mythology has been sparked by taking my children to see the Percy Jackson film. I do not want to have to struggle through the orginal texts by Homer and others, but would prefer to find an easy to read version. On the other hand I don't want a superficial children's version of the stories either.
Can anyone recommend a book or series which would pitch the reading to a reasonably intelligent adult, but not a classics scholar.
I bought the Wordsworth Classics books from one of the Book Sales shops you see in the High Street. Homers The Odyssey, the Illiad and Virgils Aeanad (sp) they cost about £1. or so. Other than that have you Googled Amazon, If you Google the Odyssey and the Illiad it should give you some titles that incorporate all the books available from Amazon.
