Alan Coren

Hi all

I have been given a Waterstone's gift card and am thinking about buying something by Coren. I have read "The Best of Alan Coren" and "The Essential Alan Coren". Can anyone suggest a good place to start with his work?

It's hard to go wrong with anything by AC. (Even the 'Idi Amin' books , which were largely a product of their time, can still raise a few smiles).

However 'The Sanity Inspector' would have to be around the top of my list. (Also try 'Tissues for Men' and 'Golfing for Cats').

Agreed. The late Alan Coren was an excellent writer.
