does anyone know what happend to the "scream" by munich (spelling??!!) i saw it on the news ages ago bt havnt heard anything since!

They were recovered in Norway the day after they were stolen!

According to that link, The Scream is still missing.

I'm pretty sure it's still stolen. A few days a go some other Munch paintings were stolen but soon recovered.

The scream has been stolen (and recovered) before, maybe thats what causing the confusing...

There was more than one version of 'The Scream', though, and all by Munch, so there are still some not in grubby hands.

Apparently the pictures from the second robbery were recovered the next day, but "The Scream" and "Madonna" from the earlier robbery are still missing.
