Menachem Begin has been dead for nearly 20 years, lots have changed since then. Also back then we were training middle eastern pilots who thought of Israel as enemy.

My late father in law fought in the war and was then posted to Israel. His advice was 'Never trust a Jew'. This is not racist or religionist but based on experience.

Although Hitler was totally and uterly wrong in his actions, just why do you suppose the Nazi party took such a severe stance ?

just to add... I would trust a Jew just as much as anyone else. I would not, however, trust the Israeli state, founded on terrorism - including terrorism against the British.

Menachim Begin was a member of the infamous Stern gang, responsible for the bombing of the King David Hotel and the hanging of British soldiers in the Orange Grove, so I am not surprised to read this.

I don't condone the actions of the Stern Gang in any way, but they were fighting for a cause.
