I am hoping to view the collection of da Vinci's paintings at theNational Gallery.
As the exhibition will clearly be very popular I'm wondering if there will be any limit on the amount of time one can spend in the gallery?
Tickets are £16 and with the train fare to London I wouldn't want to be 'escorted' around in an hour.

Does anyone know?

There isn`t a time limit. I would consider booking in advance because as you say, it will be popular. I turned up on the last day of an exhibition once, without a pre-booking and was turned away. You won`t be escorted around. The timed ticket just gives you entry within a half hour time slot.
Stay as long as you like it says here. http://www.nationalga...at-the-court-of-milan

Thanks to you both.

I have now been on-line and see that November is fully booked so I'll try for early next month.
they'll tell you when you can enter, not when you can leave. They're probably working on the assumption that everyone will take pretty much the same time going round so it won't get overcrowded.

.
I think the National Gallery site says it's fully booked Nov and Dec.
