P&O Arcadia
I saw the Arcadia docked in S'oton today and was in awe at the size, she was massive. I see they do mini cruises, has anyone been on the Arcadia?

Arcadia was built, so I was told, for the Holland America line, and has one or two differences from the other P & O ships. There are glass lifts which go up the outside of the ship, which I loathed, as I have no head for heights, and don't like lifts very much. If you don't mind heights, the lifts won't worry you and they do have internal lifts as well. Arcadia has a "waistline" so if you have a balcony cabin in the middle, you can't see past the front or the back of the ship when you look over the side. The ship has a large theatre, with different styles of seating from a traditional theatre. They did lovely pancakes at breakfast which I loved, but I found the bed too hard for my bad back, and it made it a lot worse. You have to try a ship, to find out which suits you. A mini cruise would be the right length to find out how you feel.

Prudie - if you were in awe of the size of Arcadia- we booked on the Azura to go to the Baltic -on arriving at S'oton and seeing the size of this ship - just could not get my head round how it could sail - but it did and we enjoyed it. Also have been on the Arcardia and loved it - apart from the glass lifts- which were avoided. Enjoy a trip.
