what happened to 8hop.com poetry website?

I tried to log on to post some poetry and see previous poems but its totally gone and i'm heartbroken as all my poems are on there.I bought a book ready to write them in for my boys to keep but i can't now . I'm quite distraught.There were some very personal ones and i had a good friend in america i can no longer contact. please help.

The site is coming up as 'connection to server reset', rather than 'domain not found', so it could be a temporary fault.

The domain name was registered by Chris Vigder. You could try contacting him by snail mail at:

People often abandon gmail addressees, but it's probably worth a try.

Torres, Cherry, myself(nitepoet) and Lucy Lu all have been trying to no avail to log into 8hop.com. It's as if Chris Vigder shut down the site without letting any of us know. Just hope he hasn't stolen our poetry and is trying to claim it as his own.. I have sent him numerous emails and even sent him three snail mails.. to the address given below and to date haven't heard anything from him..

Torres, Lucy Lu (flutterby) posted this yesterday on face book about the death of 8hop.. and why it is no longer up and running.. thought this would help..(Lucy Lu (Flutterby) I recieved word just now from Tina passed on from Michelle that 8hop is no more :[ there was an issue with the host and the site crashed... Apparently it was unrecoverable)... I know there are a lot of poets who lost every poem they wrote because of 8hop crashing. I am thankful I kept backup copies of all my poetry, plus I also posted on other sites such as Myspace.com...

Thanks nitepoet its very sad to know that 8hop has gone but glad i know now.I didn't know how to reply to you other than this way so don't know if you'll get it.I remember you ,cherry,flutterby and michelle from 8hop and it was nice to hear from you. so glad you go on this site! I'm louise from 8hop! I did lots of quirky poetry last entry 'Rainbow Coloured Socks!' Which i have lost.I bought a book to put them all in but didn't do it in time.I've learn a hard lesson.All the best loux

One last, small, hope is that he kept back.up and might release that to you. I know a small hope.

I use a gmail.com email account and always mail original works and drafts to myself. System works very well.
