I enjoy the diverse nature of all the members on here and have felt empathy with many. Reading some posts leads me to wonder more about the contributors. Now true answers please, do you consider yourself to be a snob , posh, or like me, down to earth, working class ?

yes to all of them lol depends on my mood.:-)
For "down to earth" read "a pain in the @rse.
Definitely own to earth.
difficult to say I try not to get involved in the class debate I am just who I am and try to treat people the same.
I'm common because I drink pints.
... much like nannyb, I think I'm a chameleon & react to my environment rather than any inherent 'poshness' or otherwise ...
Working class here.
Yes eccles, but at least it's Guinness :+)
I drink pints too but obscure real ales from niche breweries where possible...
... although I did catch my little finger extending itself in a dainty manner whilst I was holding a teacup recently :+()
oh I'm very posh

and a snob
Two phrases that really "get my goat" and make me very suspicious:

"down to earth"

"salt of the earth"
hello flump.

a difficult, but interesting question.

i have never thought that i belong to any particular class. having said that, i would not want to be called upper class - as that conjures up images of large houses and multiple cars in the drive.
working class would also be in-accurate as i that also depicts an image that of living that is not pertinent to me.

i am well educated, (not college or university however),and consider myself something of an intellectual - and well spoken. but i do live in a small one bedroom flat, work hard for low pay and only just survive.

one could say there are elements of both classes in the above passage.
And if you ever find yourself cutting the crusts off your sarnies it's time to dust down the flat cap and get 'whippet out of garden shed.
Both tend to indicate to me doesn't think before opening gob and doesn't care about thenselves or others...

And surely salt poisons the earth so its a strange saying
i cut the crusts of my sandwiches :-)
I'm down to earth working class.
Salt of the earth.....that's me.
Dave, I don't limit myself to just Guinness; cider, real ale and obscure Belgium lagers get my vote too!

I don't really class myself as anything, I try to adapt to my surrounding so that I and those around me are comfortable.
excusable if one is having problems with ones dentures :-)
Mick.....yes.........we know.......;-)
