ive just watched tonights (weds) episode of secret history of our streets on bbc2. towards the final 5 minutes of the show a piece of music played which i really liked, but ive no idea what it was. some of the lyrics were......"i dont want to go back to that house anymore." it was a chilling, cold solo male vocal. anyone any ideas. cheers. ps, i know about shazam but dont have the app.
I watched last nights episode .. The Caledonian Road ?
I don't recall that bit .Right at the end the people were shown in the pub singing That's Life by Frank Sinatra .
this series has been excellent, i did miss the one about the Cally, but have watched the others. Last nights was so very sad in many ways, seeing all the old folk now, the poverty was so bad, one home housed 48 people, split up into respective families. They talk of poverty now, but it was not like this. I look forward to the rest of the programmes.
wednesdays episode was portland street and the song played in the background towards the end. this smiths song sounds exactly the right song but wrong vocalist.!
robina.....THANKYOU...... not only is it the right track/version. im one of ebtg,s biggest fans.! i thought it sounded a bit like tracey thorn.!! being an extra track on a cd single ive missed it. THANKYOU. xx
Ah, that's what it is. We watched this and Mr Frog (a big Smiths/Morrissey fan) was trying to figure out who it was. Thanks, Robinia (and ibizaboy for asking the question)
l have just seen the repeat and thought exactly the same it is the smiths song but it sounded like a female to me l have tried shazam but doesnt recognise it did you ever find out who it was
